Over the years of raising dogs, we have found ourselves asking so many questions. Questions like:
“Can my dog eat apples?”,
“How to keep a dog from wagging her tail so much that it doesn’t sprain?”,
“How many treats are too many?”,
“What are the best dog toys for destructive chewers?”.
Naturally, we have gathered all of the answers and want to give back to other pet parents. We hope to share our ideas, research, and stories with you and are so thankful for you to be with us on this journey. We hope to create a collaborative community where we can all share our stories and lessons learned.
We are Fez and Leigh, and we have three dogs: Dexter, Daisy, and Pepper. We love a busy home filled with dog barks, tail wags, and laughter.
Dexter is a 6-year-old Yorkshire Terrier and a total mama’s boy. When he isn’t cuddling on someone’s lap, he can typically be found chasing a stuffed pumpkin toy.
Daisy is a 6-year-old mix. Daisy is half “nose-extraordinaire” Beagle and half “doggo” Shiba-Inu. She enjoys torpedoing all over our backyard and then finding the coziest place in the house for a nap. This dog is seriously a princess! If you aren’t familiar, look up the fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea,” it’s eerily reminiscent of Daisy.
Lastly, we rescued Pepper about two years ago, and we think she is around 3 years old. Pepper is a mixed breed sweetheart! If she could say “hello” to every person on the planet, she would. One time she met a friend’s daughter and Pepper wagged her tail so hard she sprained it (did you know that could happen, we didn’t). Now that she is healed, Pepper continues to bring such joy to our pack, and we are so glad we were able to rescue her. If you are able to rescue or are in the market for a new friend, we highly recommend the organizations at this link. It is gratifying to be able to provide a home for our new best friend.
We hope you get to meet them throughout our blog!
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts. Without your support, we would never be able to share all of this information and collaborate with this great community!
